Lauge Koch

Lauge Koch ( born July 5, 1892 in Kærby at Kalundborg, † June 5, 1964 in Copenhagen) was a Danish geologist, Arctic explorer and university professor.

Cooking accompanied Knud Rasmussen on his second Thule expedition (1916-1918), a geologist and cartographer. During an expedition to northern Greenland (1920-1923), he produced a complete map of the coasts of Greenland. In 1921 he was the first man that lies ahead of North Greenlandic coast Kaffeklubben Island.
