Laughlin is a city ( census -designated place ) in southern Nevada on the Colorado River at the Arizona border about 152 km south of Las Vegas. In 2000, the city counted 7,076 residents.

The city has to Las Vegas and Reno, the third most casinos in Nevada. It was named after its founder Don Laughlin, owner of the Riverside Resort, named after the name Jackpot, Riverside Casino and were rejected by the U.S. postal authority. Across from Laughlin on the other side of the Colorado River is the town of Bullhead City, Arizona, from where come most casino employees.
