Laura Fogli

Laura Fogli ( born October 5, 1959 in Comacchio ) is a former Italian marathon runner.

In 1981, she was fifth at the European Marathon and fourth at the New York City Marathon. The following year she won the silver medal at the European Athletics Championships in Athens and was again fourth in New York City. In 1983, she finished fourth at the Avon Marathon, Sixth at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki and second in New York City.

At the premiere of the Olympic women marathon 1984 in Los Angeles, she took ninth place. In the same year they arrived in New York City to third place. In 1985, she finished fourth at the IAAF World Cup marathon, second in the Pittsburgh Marathon, sixth at the European Marathon and again third in New York City. In 1986, she won in Pittsburgh, won silver at the European Championships in Stuttgart and became the third consecutive third parties in New York City.

At the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, she ran into her personal best of 2:27:49 hours, a sixth place. To the second time she was in second this year in New York City. Another third place at the New York City Marathon in 1989 followed in 1990 winning the Venice Marathon. In 1991, she came on the 13th place in the discharged as part of the London Marathon IAAF World Cup Marathon. In 1993 she was fifth at the Berlin Marathon, and in 1994 she won the Turin Marathon. In the 1997 World Cup in Athens, she came on the 24th Place.
