Although the story was never published in a publishing house (but Gallego García they published themselves on their website later), it was already clear at that time that she wanted to be a writer.

In 1997 she founded during her studies, Hispanic - philological University magazine nayade and served until 2000 as its co-director.

At age 21, also during her studies, she wrote the novel Finis Mundi (Latin for " The End of the World"), with whom she won the first prize in the competition Barco de Vaport of Spanish literature publishing house Grupo SM and was subsequently released in 1999. Gallego García had already written at this time 14 unpublished books and participated several times in vain in this competition.

Writing style

Gallego García covers with their works a wide range of styles: in addition historically - fantastic novels such as Finis Mundi and her main work in the epic and fantastic area with Las Crónicas de la Torre and Memorias de Idhún there are several children's books and with Las hijas de Tara ( " the daughters of Tara "), even a trip to the science fiction.

In her fantasy stories feel outweighs the fantastic elements. Your people bring without ceasing feelings of doubt, fears and sentiments, and be guided by them, unlike the usual fantasy, are found in the preferred ideas such as honor and duty. So the dialogues of the Memorias de Idhún for example, are influenced by reflections of the main character Victoria about their contradictory affection for two contrasting people.
