Laura Innes

Laura Elizabeth Innes ( born August 16, 1957 in Pontiac, Michigan) is an American actress and director.

Family

Innes is the youngest of six siblings. She attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where she graduated in 1979 made ​​in theater studies. Among her fellow students included the future actress Megan Mullally ( Will and Grace).

After her first fiance was killed in a stabbing in 1988, she married David Brisbin. The couple has a common biological son and an adopted daughter from China.

Career

After leaving school, Laura Innes played successfully at various theaters in Chicago and New York City until she moved with her husband to Los Angeles. There, she applied for the role of Dr. Ross' ( George Clooney ) girlfriend in the series ER.
