Laura Joh Rowland

Laura Joh Rowland (born 1954 in Michigan) is an American crime writer with Chinese and Korean ancestors.

Life

Before Rowland author was she studied microbiology at the University of Michigan and worked as a graphic designer and lecturer in creative writing. Your novels are set in the 17th century in the Tokugawa era of feudal Japan. The protagonist of their previously fourteen novels is the samurai and the shogun special investigator Sano Ichiro.

Rowland lives with her husband in New Orleans. It describes the science- fiction writer George Alec Effinger as their mentor.
