Laura Turner

Laura Turner ( born August 12, 1982 in Harrow) is a British track and field athlete. She participated in Beijing at the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Career

Early in her career Laura Turner was a hurdler until she moved in 2002 to the normal sprint and took from there over the 100 meters and in the 4 × 100 - meter relay. At the Track Junior European Championships 2003, she finished sixth in the relay. At the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 Turner won the silver medal in the relay. At the World Athletics Championships 2007 in Osaka, she reached the semifinals of the 100 meters. With the season they finished fourth. Laura Turner was part of the British squad for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing.
