Laura Voutilainen

Laura Voutilainen ( born May 17, 1975 in Jyväskylä ) is a Finnish pop singer, who participated in the Euro Vision Song Contest 2002.

Career

Laura Voutilainen released their debut single in 1993 with the title Muuttanut oot maailmain ("I have changed the world "). Her breakthrough came in 1994 with the song Kerran ( "Once "). In both 1994 and 1996 she was awarded the Emma Award, a major Finnish music award.

In 2002 she participated in the Euro Vision Song Contest in Tallinn, after winning the preliminary round in Finnish Tampere. With their song Addicted to You ( " Addicted to you") they came on the 20th place among 24 participants. In 2007, she was again represented with two songs in the Finnish pre-decision, but did not manage the jump in international competition.
