Laurdine "Pat" Patrick

Pat Patrick ( born November 23, 1929 in East Moline, Illinois, † December 31, 1991 ibid; actually Laurdine K. Patrick ) was an American jazz saxophonist.

Patrick learned piano as a child, trumpet and drums before switching to the saxophone. At the you Sable High School in Chicago, he first met John Gilmore, with whom he later collaborated with Sun Ra, including 1956 Super-Sonic Jazz and 1959 on jazz can be heard in silhouette. He appeared in 1961 in the Africa / Brass session with John Coltrane and Eric Dolphy with, performed with Duke Ellington, and was in 1970 a member of Thelonious Monk's quartet.
