Laureano Ruiz

Laureano Ruiz Quevedo ( born October 21, 1937 in Villafufre, Cantabria ) is a former Spanish footballer and coach.

Career

Ruiz came at the age of 18 years to Racing Santander and played there until 1959. At Santander he was both a player and coach of the youth team. At 24 he went to Gimnástica de Torrelavega, but remained coach of the youth team of Santander. Age of 28, he finished his playing career in order to concentrate more on his coaching position can.

In 1967 he was first-team coach of Racing Santander. Santander rose this season (1967 /68) in the Tercera División.
