Lauren Graham

Lauren Helen Graham ( born March 16, 1967 in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American actress and writer.

Life and career

Graham grew up in Fairfax, Virginia and has Irish ancestors. After her parents divorced when she was five years old, she was raised by her father. From the later marriage of her parents she has three younger half-siblings.

During the Elementary School Graham discovered her love of acting. After completing her bachelor's degree in English from Barnard College in 1988, she moved to Texas and completed a drama degree at Southern Methodist University, where she graduated with a master. She now lives in Los Angeles, California. She is primarily known for her role as Lorelai Gilmore in the series Gilmore Girls.

2009 Graham made ​​her debut on Broadway in the musical Guys and Dolls at the role of Miss Adelaide.

With Someday, Someday, Maybe: A Novel, she debuted on April 30, 2013 as the writer. The novel fictionalizes her experiences as a young actress in the early 1990s in New York City. After the book appeared at number 16 of the New York Times bestseller list, it was announced that she is working on a follow-up novel.

Graham is dating her co-stars Peter Krause, who plays her brother in the series Parenthood.
