Lauren Tamayo

Lauren Tamayo ( born October 25, 1983 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) is an American racing driver who is active on rail and road.

In 2009, Lauren Tamayo third of the total road race Tour de Grand Montréal, 2010 Sixth of the Tour of Qatar and the Tour of Chongming 2011 Seventh Iceland.

On the railway Tamayo is mainly successful in the team pursuit. Multiple they stood with the American team at the UCI Track Cycling World Cup races on the podium. In the UCI Track World Championships 2010 in Ballerup, she finished fourth in common with Sarah Hammer and Dotsie Bausch and won in the same year together with the same drivers the gold medal at the Pan American Cycling Championships in Aguascalientes. The team set a new world record over 3.19,569 min, which in 2012 had stock until April. In the Track World Championships 2012 in Melbourne, the team was ranked fifth.

At the 2012 Olympic Games in London Lauren Tamayo won jointly with Sarah Hammer and Bausch Dotsie the silver medal in the team pursuit.
