Laurence Kaye

Laurence " Loz " Kaye ( born August 27, 1970) from Manchester is a British politician and since September 26, 2010 Chairman of the Pirate Party UK ( PPUK ), the UK Pirate Party. He succeeded in this office the founding chairman of the party, Andrew Robinson, who had recently resigned from his post.

His livelihood earned Kaye since 1994 mainly as a freelance musical director, composer and sound designer in the theater, and is also active as a teacher in this area.

In the local elections in 2012 Kaye candidate in the constituency of Manchester Bradford and reached by 127 votes, or 5.2 %, the best result of his party in an election.
