Laurencekirk

Laurencekirk, is a village in the Scottish unitary authority Aberdeenshire. It is located about seven kilometers from the North Sea coast about 35 km southwest of Aberdeen and 45 km north-east of Dundee. In 2001 Laurencekirk recorded 1808 inhabitants. Since 1824, the distillery is located in Fettercairn Laurencekirk. With Tobermory is another distillery in Brechin, 15 km away.

Traffic

The A90, which connects Edinburgh with Fraserburgh affected Laurencekirk in the south and ensures connection to the road network. Laurencekirk had a railway station but this was abandoned in 1967. In 2009 he was renovated for £ 3 million and reopened. He is regularly served by the Edinburgh to Aberdeen Line.
