Laurent Desbiens

Laurent Desbiens ( born September 16, 1969 in Mons -en- Barœul, France ) is a former French cyclist.

Career

Desbiens ' career began in 1992 and lasted until 2001. Overall, he took with him seven times in the Tour de France in 1997 and was able to win a stage. On the 11th stage of the original stage winner Sergei Outschakow had been disqualified because of unfair Sprint. A year later, Desbiens could wear the yellow jersey for two days.

1996 Desbiens has been banned due to repeated doping with nandrolone for six months and had to pay a fine. According to an investigation report by the Anti- Doping Commission of the French Senate from July 2013 Desbiens was one of around 60 riders, which could be transferred by means of retests in 2004 the EPO doping at the 1998 Tour de France.
