Laurent Grimmonprez

Laurent Georges " FlokKe " Grimmonprez ( born December 14, 1902 in Brugge Gent; † 22 May 1984) was a Belgian football player at the position of a striker.

Career

Association

Grimmonprez played exclusively at his hometown club Racing Club Gent, for which he (270 in the First Division of) completed a total of 447 games in which he scored 280 goals (141).

In 1926, he was with 28 goals from 25 games top scorer in the First Division.

National

Between 1924 and 1934 he played ten games for the Belgian national team, in which he scored a goal. He stood in the Belgian squad for the Olympic Games in 1924 and took part in the Football World Cup 1934, where he was employed in the game against Germany ( 2:5 ).
