Laurie Lee

Laurence Edward Alan " Laurie " Lee MBE ( born June 26, 1914 in Stroud, Gloucestershire, † May 13, 1997 ) was an English poet, novelist and screenwriter.

His main work consists of three autobiographical narratives: In the first volume Cider with Rosie (1959, German title: Summer fullness ) Lee tells of his childhood in the village of Slad in the English county of Gloucestershire.
