Laurinc Gate

The Lorenzertor ( slowak. Laurinská brána ungar Lőrincz kapu ) is a former gate in the Old Town of Bratislava, on the road Laurinská ( German Lorenzert [h ] orgasse ). The road and the gate are named after the Church of St. Lawrence near the gate, which was demolished in the first half of the 16th century.

The gate was built in the 13th century. It was demolished in 1778, where even larger parts of the Bratislava city fortifications were destroyed. In place of the gate, the Divadlo Pavla Országha Hviezdoslava is ( Pavol Országh Hviezdoslava Theatre ).
