Laurine van Riessen

Laurine van Riessen (born 10 August 1987) is a Dutch speed skater.

In the World Cup van Riessen launched for the first time in the season 2006/07. There, she managed a top- 10 ranking in eighth over 500 meters. In the Dutch Championships 2006, she also achieved good rankings, they also triumphed at the European Junior Championships. In the following season, 2007/ 08 van Riessen was running only in a race with the team, which was finished on rank eight.

The current World Cup began van Riessen with their first podium finish in the A group, by taking third over 1000 meters. Also at the second World Cup they reached a good fifth place over 1500 meters.

In her career, van Riessen was also Junior World Champion in the team when they won together with Ingeborg Kroon and Natasja Bruintjes in the all-around championship gold. At that championship, she was also second in the mini four-way battle. She also presented in March 2007 at a junior world record in the 1,000 meters. In the Peerage of 13 March 2014, it is located on the 150th rank.
