Lausen is a municipality in the district of Liestal in the canton of Basel -Country in Switzerland.

Geography

Lausen is in the middle Ergolztal southeast of Liestal, with which it is grown together.

History

The first mention of Lausen dates from 1275: a " Langenso ". The origin of the name is unknown. Ground findings have proved that tools have been made ​​in this area as early as the Paleolithic period.
