The Lauter ( etymologically from Luttara, clear brook ) is a short river, which flows from the right in the upper weather in the district Wetterfeld the town of Laubach in the district of Gießen, in Hesse.

The Loud built to the east of the village of the same name Lauter at Laubach in Hesse in the extreme southeast of the Near Vogelsberg and ends after a run of 7 km in the neighboring village weather field in the weather.
