Lawrence County (Alabama)

Lawrence County is a county located in the state of Alabama in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Moulton. The county is one of the Dry counties, which means that the sale of alcohol is restricted or prohibited.

Geography

The County is located in northern Alabama, is in the north about 50 miles from Tennessee, the west about 70 miles from Mississippi and has an area of 1860 square kilometers, of which 64 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Limestone County, Morgan County, Cullman County, Winston County, Franklin County, Colbert County and Lauderdale County.

History
