Lawrence Grant

Percy Reginald Lawrence - Grant ( born October 30, 1870 in Bournemouth, Dorset, United Kingdom, † February 19, 1952 in Santa Barbara, California, United States) was a British actor.

Life

Lawrence Grant already had since childhood a great Native American admirers. Any book that described the history and culture of the Indians, was read by him. Years later, he got the opportunity to spend a few months with members of Indian tribes in Wyoming and Montana. His experiences while filming to shoot in color, Kinemacolor in the first time to the possibility. From the footage he later produced the educational film Travels with Kinemacolor.

Grant was in 1908 for the first time in the USA. He was with a theater company on tour. Soon after, he was also in film gaining a foothold. From Lawrence Grant was a popular supporting actor, who has worked in over 100 films. Even he was never nominated for an Oscar. At the Academy Awards in 1931, he was the moderator of the event.

Lawrence Grant continued to play at the theater. When he gave Barbara Lobero Theater during a heat wave four performances in a short time in Santa, his health was damaged. On February 19, 1952, he died at the age of 81 years.
