Lawrence Nycholat

Lawrence Nycholat ( born May 7, 1979 in Calgary, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since July 2011 the Krefeld Penguins in the German Hockey League contract.

Career

Lawrence Nycholat began his career as a hockey player with the Swift Current Broncos, for until 2000, he was active from 1996 in the Western Hockey League. He was taken in 2000 as a free agent by the Minnesota Wild signed Subsequently, for which he, however, never played. First, he played in the 2000/ 01 season with the Cleveland Lumberjacks of the International Hockey League, as well as two years for the American Hockey League club Houston Aeros. In early 2003, the Canadian has been committed by the New York Rangers for their AHL farm team, the Hartford Wolf Pack, he stood until 2005 on the ice. He also played in the 2003/04 season and nine times for the Rangers in the National Hockey League.

On 9 August 2005, the Washington Capitals Nycholat took as a free agent contract, but he played in the following two seasons, mainly in the AHL for their farm team, the Hershey Bears. In February 2007, the Capitals gave Nycholat from the Ottawa Senators, with whom he remained for a year before he was ahead of the 2008 /09 season committed by the Vancouver Canucks. Because of an excess of the salary cap, the Canucks swept the defenders during the season from the squad, so that the Calgary Flames pledged him on 3 March 2009, however, the very next day to the Colorado Avalanche further transferred him. In July 2009, the defender signed as a free agent contract with the Vancouver Canucks, which only put him in the course of the 2009/10 season in the farm team for the Manitoba Moose. In September 2010 he took part in the training camp of the Washington Capitals, who sent the defensive player after two weeks into the farm team to the Hershey Bears in the American Hockey League, where the Canadians stayed the entire season.

In July 2011 Nycholat moved to the Krefeld Penguins.
