Lawsken
Lawsken a western suburb of Königsberg ( Prussia), and between Rathshof Juditten was located.
Name
The name is derived from Old Prussian " Laukas ": field, field, Rodeland with fields and meadows.
History
The town is 1286 as the " ad campum, qui Lauchsen vulgariter nuncupator " first documented. 1299 he is " in Villam, queer Lauxen nuncupator " 1396 " Lauken the village." 1405, there are parallel spellings Lauken and Lawsken.
Lawsken belonged to religious times together with Rathshof the old town. The village was incorporated in 1905 and developed into a residential suburb.
