Lazarevo (Banja Luka)

Lazarevo ( Serbian Cyrillic Лазарево, formerly Budžak / Буџак ) is a city in Banja Luka, the largest city in the Republic of Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Lazarevo located in the northern part and one of the largest residential area. It consists of two districts, Lazarevo 1 and 2 Lazarevo

According to the census in 1991 had 15,786 inhabitants Lazarevo.

Attractions

In Lazarevo there are two religious buildings. The Mary Star Trappist monastery, at the beginning of the 20th century, the only Trappist monastery in South East Europe and with 219 monks Trappist the largest in the world. It also give the Church of St. Lazarica.
