Le Chant des Wallons

Le Chant des Wallon (Li Tchant of Walons in Walloon ) is the anthem of Wallonia.

It was written in 1900 in Walloon by Théophile Bovy, the music is by Louis Hillier from the year 1901. The song was first sung in Liege, but his success spread quite rapidly across Wallonia.

As in 1998, the Walloon parliament, the official emblems stipulated for Wallonia ( flag, anthem, hard ), it was natural to take Le Chant des Wallon anthem and adapt the text to the present.

It is not a literal translation of the original version, the verses are otherwise not in the same order that same number.
