Le Domino noir ( The Black Domino dt ) is a comic opera in three acts by Daniel -François- Esprit Auber. The premiere of this opera took place on December 2, 1837 at the Théâtre Royale de L' opéra comique in Paris.

Buoyed by the success of this work was already six months later, on 16 June 1838 in the German translation ( by Karl August von Lichtenstein ) at the Berlin Court Opera on the stage. Was an adaptation of Auber's Domino 1840 entitled Il domino nero at La Scala premiere. The composer was Lauro Rossi and the storyline with Auber's exactly the same.

Action
