Lê Lương Minh

Lê Minh Lương (* 1952) is a Vietnamese politician and diplomat. He is married and has two daughters.

Since 1975 he worked in the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry, after he had completed at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Hanoi and at Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Since 17 February 2004, he is UN Ambassador for Vietnam in New York; he held this office from 1995 to 1997 already for the UN institutions in Geneva as well as a deputy in New York City by 1997 to 1999. since January 7, 2013 he has been Secretary General of ASEAN.
