Le Roi Soleil (musical)

Le Roi Soleil (French " The Sun King " ) is a French musical by Kamel Ouali over the life of the " Sun King " Louis XIV. Le Roi Soleil celebrated on 22 September 2005 at the Palais des Sports in Paris premiere.

Action

At the beginning of the first act of the young Ludwig in Reims is crowned. However, claiming Cardinal Mazarin and Anne of Austria, mother of Louis the government itself, as Ludwig is still too young. Later, Ludwig fell in love with the middle-class Italian immigrant Marie Mancini, a niece of Mazarin. To remain as king, Ludwig goes to war, where he was severely wounded. Because of his seemingly imminent death of Louis 's brother had been elected king. Louis himself is quickly forgotten, only Marie is fighting for the life of the young king. Restored health he learns that only Marie has worried about him, after which Ludwig makes her a marriage proposal. But Louis Marie may due to the French laws are not married, so she is banished into exile of Mazarin and Anne of Austria.

Then dies at the beginning of Act 2 Mazarin and Louis takes full reign over France and makes himself the Sun King. Soon Ludwig begins to let build the Palace of Versailles, as he seeks distraction in many women's stories. Later, Ludwig managed what was denied him with Marie: he married Françoise d' Aubigné, the commoners, which was previously the governess of Louis illegitimate children.
