Le Samyn
Le Samyn, Memorial José Samyn also is a Belgian one-day races in cycling, which is held annually in early March in Fayt -le- Franc. The start is in frame Ries, the goal in Duor.
The race was held first in 1963 as an amateur race as the Grand Prix de la Madeleine and after approval of the pros in 1968 as the Grand Prix de Fayt -le- Franc. It was renamed the Memorial José Samyn after the death of the first professional winner José Samyn 1969. Since 2005 it is part of the UCI Europe Tour and classified in the UCI category 1.1.
The event also includes the international women's race Le Samyn des Dames, a cycling ride and a student race.
