Leaders of the New School

The Leaders of the New School were an American hip hop group from Long Iceland, New York, which was founded in 1990. Members were the MCs Charlie Brown, Dinco D, Busta Rhymes and Cut Monitor Milo his cousin DJ. With bands like De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest, they were part of the Native Tongue family.

They were also supported by Public Enemy, with whom they were on tour. The first release of the band was the piece of Mt Airy Groove on the Elektra Records compilation Rubáiyát: Elektra 's 40th Anniversary. Their debut album A Future Without a Past was published in 1991. It contained the hits Case of the PTA, Sobb Story and The International Zone Coaster.

Their second and last album at the same time T.I.M.E. appeared in 1993. singles What's Next and Classic were released material from him. The album, whose title stands for The Inner Mind's Eye, however, was not as successful as A Future Without a Past.

As fans and media concentrated more and more on Busta Rhymes rather than the band as a whole, it came to battle and finally in 1993 to the dissolution of the Leaders of the New School.
