Leaena

Leaina (Greek lioness ) would an Athenian courtesan.

She was involved in the conspiracy of Harmodius and Aristogeiton, anyway, the tyrant Hippias suspected that, since she was the mistress of Aristogeiton. He took her captive and tortured her, but she remained silent. Tertullian ( Serm. Martyrs ) reported that they have to give anything away, can bitten his tongue. To honor their courage, the Athenians are said to have begotten the portrait of tyrannicide, the sculpture of a lioness without a tongue.
