Leandro Augusto

Leandro Augusto ( born August 18, 1977 in Cascavel, Paraná ) is a naturalized Mexican football player with Brazilian and Polish roots, its trunk position is in midfield.

Life

Association

After holding various positions in his native Brazil, where he was between 1995 and 2000 at Criciúma, Internacional, Botafogo and Santa Cruz under contract, Leandro came in the summer of 2000 to Mexico.

There, he played one season (2000/ 01) for the Club León, before he got the next ten years (2001 to 2011) at the University Club Club Universidad Nacional under contract.

With him it was a total of four times Mexican master: in the Clausura 2004, the Apertura 2004, the Clausura 2009 and Apertura 2011.

Since the 2011/12 season he plays for his time Erstligaaufsteiger Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente, with whom he won his 2012 total of five Mexican title in the Apertura.

National

In the years 2008 and 2009, the naturalized Mexicans played six international appearances in which he scored a goal. His debut in the dress of the Mexican national team, he celebrated on August 20, 2008 in a World Cup qualifier against Honduras, which was won 2-1. His last international match on 1 April 2009 also took place during the World Cup qualifiers and against the same opponents, but this time was lost with 1:3. His only international goal he scored in a discharged on 11 March 2009 friendly match against Bolivia, which was won 5-1.
