Leandro Gallerano

Leandro Gallerano (* around 1580 in or near Brescia, † 1632 in Padua ) was an Italian organist, conductor and composer.

He was a member of the Franciscan Order and worked since 1620 in his hometown as an organist, four years later, he assumed the post of Kapellmeister at Sant'Antonio in Padua. In 1632 he became a victim of the plague here.

He was a very traditional composer and exclusively created works for church use, handed down are several books of motets, masses and other vocal works, some with organ accompaniment.
