LeanXcam

The leanXcam is an open source smart camera which is used for applications in the field of machine vision. The hardware design is free. It can be downloaded free of charge, which makes it possible to produce the board itself.

Use

Hardware

The intelligent camera contains a Blackfin DSP processor ( ADSP- BF537 ) which can analyze and evaluate the image data directly. The camera sensor delivers 60 images per minute with a resolution of 752x480 pixels. This combination allows operation without an external PC. The communication functions via the Ethernet interface of the camera or for small amounts of data through RS- 232 and I2C.

Software

The operating system is freely available uClinux used. This allows the use of various standard programs such as web servers, directly on the camera. An open source software library (Oscar) allows you to operate and control the hardware through appropriate driver. Several sample applications in the programming languages ​​C and C are the internet freely available and can be used as a basis for the implementation of their own projects.
