Lease Islands

The Lease Islands [ le.a.se ] ( Indonesian kabupaten lease), formerly called Uliasers, are an Indonesian archipelago in the Banda Sea. They are located in the center of the Moluccas, to the south of the island of Seram, east of Ambon Island in the Indonesian province of Maluku.

Among the Lease Islands are the three inhabited islands Haruku, Saparua and Nusa Laut, and the uninhabited island Molana. 2010 had the islands together 62,004 inhabitants.
