Leatherface (band)

Leatherface, named after the villain from Tobe Hooper's Texas Chainsaw Massacre ( The Texas Chain Saw Massacre ), is a British punk band from Sunderland to guitarist and singer Frankie Stubbs and drummer Andrew Laing. The band exists since August 1988 and has already released eight albums. Their music is described as a mixture of Hüsker Dü and Motörhead.

Since 2006, after 12 years break even Dickie Hammond back again and the band so up to the bassist (since 1999 Davey Burdon ) all the original members.

Jack Rabid, music critic and editor of the magazine The Big Takeover, called Mush Leather Faces (1992 ) as one of the 50 best punk records of all time.

Published in 2008 Rubber Factory Records a tribute album. On the double CD ( limited to 2000 copies) covers 39 bands from eight countries Leatherface classics, including Hot Water Music, The Sainte Catherines and radon.
