Leblon is a district of the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.
The area was predominantly inhabited by settlers from France, to the Portuguese fought the French Kolonialisierungsversuche and finally drove out the French. The district remained after one of the French settlers ( Le Blond ) named.
Today is next to Ipanema Leblon and Copacabana is one of the affluent, even if it is less well known. During the Carnival, many parades through Leblon.
