Lebowakgomo is a town in the municipality Lepelle - Nkumpi, Capricorn District, Limpopo Province in South Africa. It was the capital of the former homelands Bophuthatswana.

In 1974, the city was founded as the capital of Bophuthatswana. Establishing time they had only 115 inhabitants. Therefore, the city was promoted in the 1980s and grew accordingly. 2011 Lebowakgomo had 35 087 inhabitants.
