Geography

Lebring lies on the right bank of the Mur about four kilometers south of Wildon and eight kilometers north of the town of Leibnitz.

On January 1, 1954, the municipalities Lebring and Saint Margaret at Lebring were pooled for community Lebring - Saint Margaret. The municipality comprises the cadastral (area 2001): Lebring ( 473.09 ha ) and St. Margaret ( 287.16 ha). History

In 1066, a church " within the Hengistburg " mentioned. Whether it be negotiated to St. Margaret, is not certain. In any case, the Church of the Holy Margaretha was transferred to the pin Suben in 1136. As time southernmost parish of the diocese Seckau is 1218/19 mentioned by name in its certificate of incorporation St. Margaret " iuxta Wildoniam " ( bei Wildon ).
