Lech, ÄŒech, and Rus

The three brothers Čech, and Rus Lech are legendary, historical dubious characters of Slavic mythology. Above all, Bohemian ( Czech ), Polish and Slovakian versions of the Slavic word treasure that has even found its way into King Chronicles, is considered according to

• Čech ( Czech ) as a supposed ancestor of the later Czechs, see Čech
• Lech as a supposed ancestor of the later Lechen (Poland ), see Lech ( Duke )
• Rus as a supposed ancestor of the later Russians, Ruthenians, Ukrainians and Belarusians, see Rus ( forefather )

Other versions according to tradition, had the third brother Mech instead Rus been called or have given it up to six other brothers of Čech and Rus Lech instead.
