Ledegem is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish region with 9509 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). It consists of the eponymous site of the nucleus and the two districts Rollegem Chapel and Sint- Eloois angle.

Kortrijk, 9 kilometers (km ) southeast of Roeselare, 10 km north, 38 km north of Bruges Ghent and Brussels 45 km northeast about 85 km to the east.

The next highway exits are located in Menen on the A19 and at Wevelgem and Roeselare on the A17. In Menen, Izegem, Kortrijk and Roeselare are the next regional stations and in Bruges and Ghent keep on regional express trains. In the French city of Lille is a regional airport near the capital Brussels there is an international airport.

History

As a medieval fief was Ledegem the name Watene.
