Lee Chung-yong

Lee Chung- Yong ( born July 2, 1988 in Seoul) is a South Korean football player.

Career

Lee Chung- Yong, whose name means the blue Dragon, began his career as a football player in 2003 in the youth department of FC Seoul. But only in his fourth season at the club, he was brought under coach Senol Güneş into the first team, with whom he won the title of the K-League missed the end of 2008 just barely.

After Lee played in various junior national teams of South Korea, he came in 2008 at the Olympic football tournament in Beijing used. He had shortly before 31 May 2008 disputed World Cup qualifier against Jordan, his first senior international. After the successful qualification Lee received in the summer of 2009, an offer of a move to Bolton Wanderers in the English Premier League. Here he netted against Birmingham City on his debut the winning goal, secured a regular place and contributed to that in the 2009/10 season the league was managed.

In summer 2010, he participated in the Football World Cup 2010 in South Africa with South Korea.
