Lee Crooks

Robert Lee Crooks ( born January 14, 1978 in Wakefield, England ) is a British soldier and former professional football player who, among other things had been active for Manchester City, FC Barnsley and Bradford City. Unusually early age he already finished with thirty years of his professional career. After military training in the Royal Air Force Crooks is used as a Leading Aircraftman, 2012 in Afghanistan.

Career as a football player

Between 1994 and 2001, he completed 73 games for the first team of Manchester City. After a loan to Northampton Crooks was active in 2001-2004 for Barnsley, from 2004-2006 for Bradford City. In 2006, he was initially awarded to Notts County and then played from 2006 to 2008 when Rochdale AFC. After a brief involvement with Guiseley FC Ossett Town FC in 2008 he finished his career as a football player.

Military career

After his career as a football player himself Crooks joined the Royal Air Force. From 2012 he is serving in Afghanistan. His brother is in the military.
