Lee Goren

Lee Goren ( born December 26, 1977 in Winnipeg, Manitoba ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who was most recently at Linköpings HC in the Elitserien under contract.

Career

Lee Goren played between 1997 and 2000 for the University of North Dakota, with whom he won the 2000 championship of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. Thus his team to the Frozen Four tournament of the NCAA, where he was named the MVP is qualified.

In the following seven years, he went for the Providence Bruins, San Antonio Rampage and the Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League on the ice. He also came to a total of 67 appearances in the National Hockey League for the Boston Bruins, Florida Panthers and Vancouver Canucks. In 2007 he decided a change to Europe, where he signed a one-year contract with Skellefteå AIK.

At the start of the following season came Goren the qualifying tournament of the Champions Hockey League for the SC Bern used. He completed nine games for the EV train from the National League A, before he returned to Sweden and took a tax-advantaged half -year contract with Färjestad BK. With Färjestad he won the Swedish championship at the end of the season.

In January 2010, he transferred in exchange for Ľuboš Bartečko back to SC Bern after he was no longer welcome at Färjestad BK. After his return he became Swiss champion with Bern in the 2009/10 season. In July 2010 he moved to the Straubing Tigers of the DEL.

29 January 2011 Goren explained that he had available an offer of SC Bern. He demanded the release and refused to continue playing for the Straubing Tigers. Their club's leadership was then a day later the termination of the contract known. The SC Bern of Canadians finished the season 2010/ 11, before he was in June 2011 again obliged Skellefteå AIK of the Elitserien.
