Lee McBee

Lee McBee ( born March 23, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri) is an American blues singer and harmonica player.

Life

He grew up in Kansas City, where he gained blues and soul records in his teen years. After moving to Lawrence, Kansas, he played in numerous blues and blues-rock bands of the Midwest. He gained national fame through his collaboration with Mike Morgan and The Crawl, where he Darrell Nulisch replaced in 1989 as a singer and harmonica player. With this band he recorded six albums. In 1999 he left Mike Morgan and formed his own band The Confessors. With the Confessors he performs regularly at BB 's Lawnside BBQ and when artists are in the Midwest on tour, accompanied Lee McBee often. Since April 2000, and the year 2007, he again worked with Mike Morgan. In 2007, she made ​​a European tour, where they performed, among others, at the 13th Lucerne Blues Festival and the Blues Festival in Avignon France. He can be heard on the album of the year 2008 " Stronger Every Day " on some titles.

2009 Lee McBee was included in the The Kansas Music Hall of Fame.
