Lee McRae

Lee McRae ( born January 23, 1966 in Pembroke) is a retired American sprinter who specialized in the 100 -meter run.

He had the most successful season of his career in 1987. In the 60 - meter race at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Indianapolis, he finished first in 6.50 s second behind Ben Johnson, who 's set a world record of 6.41. When Johnson was later found guilty of doping, fell to the title and the world record McRae.

In the Universiade in Zagreb McRae won in a personal best of 10.07 s in the 100 -meter run. A few weeks later, he sat down over the same distance at the Pan American Games in Indianapolis also by where it won even with the 4 x 100 -meter relay gold medal.
