Lee Nguyen

Lee Nguyen ( Vietnamese Nguyễn Lee, born October 7, 1986 in Richardson, Texas) is an American soccer player of Vietnamese descent.



Nguyen grew up in Dallas and played for the Dallas Texans Soccer Club, one of the elite youth soccer clubs in the country. During this time he was, inter alia, of former Iranian national team Hassan Nazari, who is also the founder of Texans training. With the team he could win some tournaments, such as the Dallas Cup.

Nguyen played for several youth national teams of the United States. He was the only high school player who has been nominated for the Junior World Cup in 2005. During this time he played for the team from Indiana University.

PSV Eindhoven

After several offers from abroad, he signed in January 2006 signed a contract at PSV Eindhoven, whose coach Guus Hiddink he had noticed at the Junior World Cup. He made his debut in the Eredivisie on 11 February 2006. In this game, he wore on his jersey the name " LEE " (and not Nguyen ) because it has ever been a " LEE " a few years ago, namely, Lee Young Pyo from South Korea. Randers FC

On January 31, Lee signed a contract with the Danish first division club Randers FC until the year 2009., Where he was rarely used.


January 17, 2009 Lee Nguyen signed a month 10,000- US- dollar three-year contract with Vietnamese Hoàng Anh Gia Lai first division. In his first game, a cup match, he scored a hat-trick.

As a result of cooperation between HAGL and Arsenal, he coached the summer of 2009 together with the English.

For the 2010/11 season he moved within the Vietnamese V-League to Bình Dương Becamex. Before a commitment from FC Dallas had failed. On 29 June 2011, the contract between Nyuyen and Bình Dương Becamex was dissolved by mutual consent. He was without a club since then.

Major League Soccer

On December 7, 2011 it was announced that Nguyen has signed a contract with Major League Soccer. The League launched a lottery to determine which team he should run up. The Vancouver Whitecaps FC were given on 15 December 2011 the contract. However, the Whitecaps sorted him before the start of the season again, so New England Revolution finally obliged him.
