Lee Sweatt

Lee Sweatt (born 13 May 1985 in Elburn, Illinois ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player who, during his active career, among other things for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League, the EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Hockey League TPS Turku has played in the Finnish SM- liiga and Dinamo Riga in the Kontinental Hockey League.

Career

Lee Sweatt began his career as a hockey player for the Chicago Steel, for which he was active in the 2002/03 season in the United States Hockey League. Then the defender played four years for the team of the Colorado College before he was towards the end of the 2006/07 season his debut in professional hockey for the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.

Then moved to the right shooter in the Finnish SM- liiga for TPS Turku, before he received a contract with EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Hockey League for the season 2008 /09. With the Austrians of Americans failed in the championship final on EC KAC. Following that season, he signed a contract with Dinamo Riga of the Kontinental Hockey League, which was dissolved in January 2010 by mutual agreement. Two days later he returned to his former club TPS Turku, with whom he was at the end of the season Finnish champion. In May 2010 he signed a contract with the Vancouver Canucks, which mainly put him in the farm team for the Manitoba Moose.

On 11 July 2011 Sweatt signed a Zweiwegvertrag for two years with the Ottawa Senators, before a month later announced end of his career.

Internationally

For the U.S., Sweatt took part in the IIHF Inline Hockey World Championship 2008, where he finished fourth with his team.
